Why should I attend?

The Careers and Apprenticeship Show is YOUR opportunity to learn about careers, apprenticeships, training and job routes.

This is premier south coast event hosted at the BIC and will showcase the very best that Dorset has to offer related to careers and apprenticeships.

This event allows YOU to find out more about what opportunities are available.

What are the benefits?

This show provides a one stop venue for information, advice and guidance on careers and apprenticeships.

Some of the benefits are:

• Direct access to a large range of employers in one location
• Opportunities to talk face to face with employers and employees
• Hearing direct from apprentices – you can ask questions and find out why they became an apprentice
• A truly impartial careers event with the opportunity to access career guidance
• Opportunity for you to attend with your parents/carer in the evening

 

Why should I attend to this event?

This event will allow you to learn about possible jobs, careers and apprenticeship available.

If you or your parents have never been to a careers convention before, then this is the event for YOU!

What will I learn?

• How to apply for an apprenticeship in different sector areas
• Career and apprenticeship opportunities that exist in Dorset and beyond
• More about what YOU would like to do and how YOU will achieve it

What is the agenda for the day?

During the day, the event is open for school group bookings. Ask your Head of Year if a trip is planned for your school!

The event is open in the evening to all young people and parents/ carers 

Who will be there?

This event is held at the BIC, one of the largest venue spaces in Dorset and you will have the opportunity to gain access to approximately 100 employers and providers on the day from different sector areas. A variety of sector areas will be present and all are passionate about inspiring young people for their future careers.

What other opportunities will be available?

During your time at the show you will be able to:

• View the exhibition and speak to employers and apprentices in different sector areas
• Take part in workshops
• Gain career advice from qualified career guidance team
